does my spray wad get overwritten each time steam updates or something? I'm guessing the answer is to make the file read-only? :eyebrow:
and you have called it tempdecal.wad and not pldecal.wad?
er... think so. It was working okay for a while, but seems to have reverted back to a blue default thing...
Then make it read only ;)
And some servers don't allow custom sprays so you get a normal spray.

I would guess that's the problem. If it is not pldecal.wad like under the old system then it will keep getting overwritten.
TL.
i ahve this problem regularly and so does doris! We ahve discussed teh mater many time on MH. It might be like the old cs. Remember the days of teh old models before 1.5 and how we loading games thru cs and it was all good fun well any way cut along story short, when you opened teh customize menu that reset the spray to the original maybe this is the case with steam. As the new steam is based on the old code after all! In some instances the old code runs behind the new displays so maybe this may be the problem?
The only weird thing about the sprays is that sometimes to me it looks like I have someone else his spray but when someone else looks they'll see mine. Today I had GFK's spray according to me but Sadako saw the DuVeL 1.

Delete the custom.hpk file in your cstrike folder (it is a cache of downloaded sprays) and it may have become confused :)
Don't worry, it'll get automagically recreated - it's one of those files you should delete regularly
Thanks BB, but I have no problems with it, sometimes it's just funny to see if I have another spray. I'll try it out next time. :thumb:
