Could someone give me some help if possible? I need to buy some wireless kit - but I am a bit unsure!!!
By current set-up is the following:
BT 1Mb Link going into a Solwise SAR 130 router. The router has one RJ45 connection (currently going into my PC).
I already have a Netgear 4 port hub.
I want to connect another PC directly above the room that my main PC is situated.
I plan to buy a Linksys WAP54G Wireless-G Access Point and plug my router, PC and this WAP into the Netgear 4 port hub.
Then have a wireless NIC in the PC in the bedroom - I plan to get the Linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter.
1. Will this setup work?
2. What about reception? (The PC in the bedroom is more or less directly above the PC downstairs).

Yes it will, subject to your floorboards and joists not being lined with kryptonite :norty:
I have run exactly the same kit in my house except I got reception from not just the floor below, but also from the other end of the house on the floor below.

My wireless etup has a wireless access point connected to my modem/4port router, which works fine. PC has some standard Wireless network card in it, connects alright. Only problem is when playing CS is tends to disconnect and reconnect itself every 20 minutes or so, and I get awful loss.
