i just kept dropping out. very weird and very annoying, though that might partly be due to a new system.

I had that 2 times yesterday aswell. 3 times to be precize but 1 was due to spy sweeper.
I dropped twice and couldn't get back in on CS:CZ although it was still in the taskthingy.
Anyone else had it???

Blueball, thats a very interesting trace you have there as it shows the lag right at the deadmen server!!

Anymore traces like that peeps?  I ask as I need to know if I need to go to all the efforts of traceing the lag.  I know the network has been a bit shite of late but I'd rather not assume this is the network if traces generally show the lag at the server.

That's the first time I've seen the lag show at the server. Generally it is within Telecomplete that the lag exists. That trace is saved as a file and I can send it to you if you want - it has some telecomplete lag earlier in it.

my dropping out is due to some new problem with steam/latest update and probably my new install. I checked various forumns and one guys suggestion, that didn't work for everyone, worked for me and involved a bit of code being put in the launch paramters box for CS. I'll edit it in when i get a chance, it was something to do with openning a port for use.

I added the below to the advanced options for launching cs to avoid being kicked out of the server

+clientport 27006

Thats what I want to hear blueball.  IE if someone is ok on the server while others lag then is the time to take the traces plus document them so we know the circumstances of the trace.

Many moons ago it used to be caladan that caused the lag.  Now I'm thinking it could be telecomplete causing the lag.
