BTW, I predict we'll lose Armitage soon (gut feeling).
That would be a shame as Armitage is a class player. Benny seems a good idea as a replacement door as he knows PCS well. I'll have a further think about it though.....

Two people have applied so far (I suggest we're in no rush and as such I'll leave this running for a bit longer).

JB wants to 'dual clan' which i'm against in principle.

Slowhand seems a nice enough chap. Good team player and a damn good shot too.

Jb is too much of a loner for me he doesnt go with peoples tactics if he disagrees with them (ie he will do his own thing) he is a very good shot there is no doubt... do we want lone wolfs?
Slowhand i like but i havnt seen him for a while....genuine nice guy.
I was suprised he came back TBH after the previous fraccar so good to him for it.
I played with slowhand tonite...wait, I'll rephrase that...... Slowhand and I were onthe same team tonite for ane xtended period. Decent bloke, reasonable shot and aware of PCS. I like him.
JB, nice guy, funny when drunk, but I'd echo Smite's comments.

Benny has applied, so that's 3 applicants now. My thoughts:
JB - good indiv. player, lousy team member - has a bit of "history" with at least one of his previous clans...
Benny - good PCS player
Slowhand - knows PCS, but occasionally forgets.
My vote would be (in order): Benny, Slowhand.
Any objections then to inviting both Benny and Slowhand to the clan?
This will take us up to 25 members (not all match-active, some not active at all :? ).
Can I take it that the deafening silence means there's no objections to recruiting both applicants?

You can take it that the silence indicates that I can't name all members of the dMw off the top of my head, and I have to look them up...
25 members would give us (on paper) 4 teams with one reserve for each. Imagine the competitions we could win with with the numbers stacked in our favour like that... 8)

Why is the server emptier than usual?
The Clan recently expanded to 25 members and took on additional match
obligations to entertain the larger number of troops available. We
currently have matches in 3 ladders plus cup matches, friendlies an
occasional extra match each and every week, so the Clan members have been
pulled out of MeatHook quite a lot recently (up to 5 times per week)
resulting in an emptier than normal server. This is largely because we call
every dMw member into IRC to pick the team - this leaves peeps like you on
the server with greatly reduced numbers when the members leave the server.
By the time the surplus players return to MH you folks have usually gone and
then THEY start to feel lonely - they leave.....and the cycle continues.
So yesterday evening we changed the system so that we don't call ALL the
dMw players to IRC before a match and leave the other non-dMw peeps out in
the cold. Instead the team is now picked by a couple of people in IRC
whilst everyone else remains playing PCS on MH, The selected members are
then called from MH to the match server. This should result in many more
dMw players remaining on MH each evening. For example this evening we
played through until about 11.35pm with 9 on the server when I left. So we
should see an increase in numbers on the server again - hopefully you'll be
there. Watch this space and we'll see how the experiment goes :)
When will -=[dMw]=- recruit again?
I'm not sure we have any official plans for 'regular' recruiting, but
OldBloke handles all the 'paperwork' for recruitment so I have copied this
email to him. You'll need to have a chat with him to see what we are doing
and when - he is usually the person who knows what's going on with
recruitment matters. What I CAN tell you is that we do not recruit solely
on frag-skill, but on PCS ability, teamwork, attitude, how other PCS players
interact with a player etc.

Fatal from what can remember when playing with him is a good player and a good shot as for his Teamwork i never noticed anything wrong with him so he must be OK.
