WOW!
im at work :(, tried this morning but left befor it was released :( .
have told misses that im gaming all evening :)
have fun guys, and remember to mention spoiler if u need to :)
Feel sick but still going :D
I don't play many Single player (if any) games but this is superb.
Also suprisingly smooth to say that Doom 3 ran like a bag of **** on this system.
Got my DVD this morning from Amazon (yes it's on DVD!!!!)
Just selected "Register a game I already own" button from the browse games menu and off you go :)
Wheee!!!! :)
Amazon delivered this morning :)
Unlocking is taking forever :(
I still can't believe I am playing it!!!! I spent £1200 on a new computer system basically to play this, and every single pound was worth it! It feels like Christmas here!!!!! :D :D :D :D
aaaargh
I have the DVD on my desk now :woot2:
but I'm at work :frusty:
:eyebrow:
ive been reading ppl arae having problems with crashes to desk tops etc. I think alot of its todo with corupt files, so im having steam at work redownload the job lot, just incase :). I cant be doing with that at home on a poxy isdn line :S
28% Bring it on :dribble:
Dont you people have jobs? ;)
Very annoying that it keeps asking for DVD before it will play :(
Anyone know of a workround? I did NOT install it from DVD, just used the key from the DVD. Given that I used Steam files, a valid key which is now registered only to me, why do they see the need to keep checking for the DVD? That's overkill
Im going to purchase Silver through steam, as id like dod source and hl source! Blue Lightning was telling me about it 2day good reports from him too!
Cant wait !!
baa, i just want to go home, ive lost all work motivation.
50 minutes befor i can leave, then a 1h 15 minutes drive home. Then i need todo a few jobs to appease the misses thne i get to play. AHHH cant handle waiting :dribble:
:(
1 hour 20 minutes of installign so far. I think my unlocking is broken - it hasn't moved for ages.

Oh it's brilliant! You really must get into it. The girl has got a great a.r.s.e. too! Skive off, who needs a bloody job anyway! :woot2:
What a game!
Best FPS ever? Could be...
*Jamoe joins the #validation_club
man i have to go out drinking before i get to play :-(
Gr8 game validated it at 8am like most of the uk did u ntice everything valve wise went down as the servers were working overtime validating steam resources etc.. btw i just noticed those of us who bough the retail pack will not get hl:source or day of defeat source only those with steam silver or gold! another valve money making idea :(
Damn this sickness crap....i can manage about half an hour before pukedom kicks in .....soddin fairy.
Great game though :D
even the sub titles are cool : P
it's just fan-bloody-tabulous! :)
Love the little hovercraft/boat type thing - a complete hoot
The water makes FarCry water look awful and the water in farcry was the best I had seen!

My favourite so far is the anti-gravity gun coupled with the large circular saw blades some nice person has left dotted around - aim for just above the hips
despite the completely unacceptable install time of 2 hours it *ing ROCKS! so i let them off :P
Only got to play until 2 in the morning otherwise i'd be wrecked at work. Its just so god damn atmospheric its breath taking.
Wish my graphics card was a bit more powerfull.
Well, Im gonna go and claim my free copy, then sit and stare at the box until I get a new PC that can run it without dying horribly.

Try firing the little gas canisters (red ones...) They blow up and set everything on fire. Of course the burning things still sometimes try to attack. Flaming black headcrabs anyone? just dodge 'em while they cook! They try the big old barrels. Bit like a clumsy rocket launcher! :D Conctrete breeze blocks work okay too, ubt the paint tins just bounce off (they do however splatter paint all over the walls! Nice touch :) )

[/b]Took me 3 bloomin' hours, which annoyed me so much it sort of ruined the first hour or so of the game.
