BB's summary:

Set the following in your autoexec.cfg:

cl_smooth 0
max_fps 60 (I know we all have flashy new graphics cards but for me it stops all the stuttering and lag until they can get things fixed)

I set max_fps 60 instead of the suggested 50 because you are sending/receiving about 30 packets/sec and 60 seems to fit better with that (for me anyway)

use net_graph 1 to see in/out data

Sheesh, that took a while to read through  :(

Summary for those who can't be bothered:

"CS:S netcode is pants.  Valve may or not get around to fixing it."

I love the "your title eliminated 98% of the forum users" comment. So true!
