Title: Tournament Structure, Scoring & Rules
Post by: TeaLeaf on December 15, 2004, 08:54:57 AM
As we appear to have sufficient numbers we will aim to provide 2 Divisions. called for no particularly good reason:Each Division will have 4 teams.

Round 1 will consist of 3 matches where each team will play the other 3 teams in their Division.  Those teams placed 3rd and 4th in their Division at the end of Round 1 will be eliminated from the tournament.

Round 2 will be the 'Semi-finals'.  The Winner of the dMw Division will play the team who at the end of Round 1 was placed 2nd in the BoD Division.   The Winner of the BoD Division will play the team who at the end of Round 1 was placed 2nd in the dMw Division.   The losers of these matches will be eliminated.

Round 3 will be the Final.  The winnners of the semi-finals will meet in the Tournament Final to decide the bragging rights!

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL INFORMATION:[/SIZE]
If you don't read this post then you'll be asking stupid questions on the day!The chosen selection of Tournament maps will be announced shortly.

I hope the above helps, GL & HF peeps!

Beginner's question:

Is there any rule as to which scripts are allowed? Lots of special-skill scripts are out there, shouldn't we be limited to "Buy" scripts only?

Absolutely spot on.  Anything else is a big NO!  And if you're on HLTV then anything else will be spotted when someone watches through the demos later on.
