Right, I've spent some time watching a few demos of top teams on this map today, so here are the points that I picked up from watching them. Hopefully they'll be helpful for the match tomorrow on prodigy, because sure as eggs is eggs (and he is), they won't help you on dust2.
As Terrorists:
1. Learn how to jump quickly through the window into the APC garage area. We all take too long. ALl the top clans do it and jump straight through the window without delay. It saves about 2 secs and gets the Ts to the top route before the CTs. The technique to get through the window is a very late (i.e. last second) duck jump. Don't jump so that you'll be going through the window on the way down. Instead, jump at the last minute (then duck) and go through the window on the way up.
2. When in the APC area, you can either storm outside, or delay about 5 seconds and then shoot through the wall to the left of the food dispenser machines. The areas to shoot are best described as the bottom right and top left of the blank 'square' of wall to the left of the dispensing machines. In 'free look' if you go through the wall this equates to shooting a CT who is standing either on top of the boxes, or in the cubby hole. This works only for guns that will shoot through walls e.g. deagle, awm, ak47, m4 etc.
3. DO NOT queue up to be shot. On the rounds I watched that ended real quickly, it was because the squad queued up for a place in the same CT's gun sight. Several times a single shot picked off 2 or even 3 people. By all means follow your squad closely, but make sure that you are not in the same firing line as they are (same as bridge rush problem with aztec).
4. On almost every round the Ts sent a man to the APC, if only to empty a clip into the walls as described above. Sometimes he then stayed there (occassionally flanking or engaging), other times he then ran back to join a tunnel attack.
5. Split attacks seemed to work (4 + 1) - it holds a sufficient number of CTs static at both main routes to allow the 4 member squad to over power the CTs at the other route.
6. After one particular sustained tunnel attack, the Ts managed to lift their bomb man in to the vent opening at their end of the tunnel. The squad proceeded down the tunnel whilst the bomb man quietly went behind them, dropped into spawn and planted. He then flanked the CTs and the whole CT squad was massacred in the cross-fire.
As Counter-Terrorists:
1. Without exception the CTs all sent 3 men to the APC route and 2 to the tunnel route. The third APC route man would usually get to the APC area via the electronic door route. He would then drop back to middle via the same route if it became apparent that no APC rush was on.
2. If the Ts have good snipers on the tunnel then just hang back. Let the Ts advance along the tunnel and then when they turn the corner attack them - don't keep sticking your head out to get it taken off by a passing awm bullet. Let them advance because their awms are no good for close quarters combat :D
3. On a sustained attack on the tunnel, the 'third man' often went into the vents from CT spawn and along to the vent exit at the T end of the tunnel. This provided a flanking opportunity so long as the exit was 'called' properly by remaining team mates.
4. DO NOT queue up to be shot or act like a mallard at a duck shoot. We tend to engage in sniper wars when defending the tunnel on this map. Don't bother. They can't plant the bomb from back there, so let them advance and then engage them on our terms, not theirs. The top teams very rarely stuck their heads out and mostly defended this route with just two people, both of whom kept their heads well out of the firing line. Be patient here.
5. If you're in CT spawn defending the tunnel route and they pass up the stairs instead of turning left towards CT spawn to plant, then shimmy rapidly up the ladder and along the vents. Using this route you can beat the Ts to the other bomb site and usually drop down into the entrance area so that they line themselves up to be shot as they turn the corner from the walkway above the stairs into the control room bomb site area.
Well, that was all I gleaned from watching the other demos, I hope it helps.

Edited by TL to insert the newly discovered skill of jumping through that darn window :D
Do they use a "duck-jump"? That is where you jump and duck at the same time (I have a binding to allow me to do it.)
They might do, but it doesn't work for me when I duck jump!
TL. 8)
Yep duck jump does it, but you have to get the distance right, i can get through in about 50% cases so you need to practice it.
Oh and dont follow another player as most dont make it in one and obviously stop you dead.
Shoot out the window as you come round the corner and jump then duck as you lift off (gotta keep running) , about a pace from the window and bobs your uncle, cause he sure aint mine.
Good luck.
:stupid:
Yeah, I just tried it - it has to be a last minute jump. I was trying to jump and get the trajectory so that I went through the window on the 'down' part of my jump - but it only works if you go through in the initial 'up' part of the jump. Man, that's a heck of a sight quicker than the way I have been doing it - hehe

Its easier if you put down your glass.
would it be possible to open the PCS boundry to alow use of the vent for a flank manouvre as u posted before so we can practice this

Apologies JAS - I thought this was already written into the rules - it wasn't - my bad. PCS Rules have been amended today to reflect this.

I told you before TL but you didn't believe me.
Thanks for the window advice, that big really gets on my tits. I used to be able to do this jump in CS1.3/1.4 but lost the knack lately. 8)

Well, I thought I'd already written the delayed bit in OK. And I thought you were asking for carte blanc permission to jump gung-ho into the vents and rape and pillage the Ts from behind 8O The amended rules still don't allow you to do that except in a specific situation.
Anyway, why should anyone listen to a foreign vegetable, huh? :D
/me ducks and covers in anticipation of an air-mailed fish slap
