did any one see the fireworks at the london eye last night?
i must admit they were excellent...but a million quid?
i wonder who payed for that then <_<

Don't worry - I'll bet the majority will have been covered by corporate sponsors. They were probably something like the Heinekin New Year Fireworks Extravaganzaâ,,¢

In Sweden all the public fireworks got canceled because of the tsunami.

That appears to be a more reasonable approach so long as th emoney then went to the appeal fund.  But if they'd already bought them then my fatalistic side says 'go ahead, have some fun'.

3 tonnes of fireworks were used, took like 6days to set them all up... :whistle:
