i played on "Da Noob Server" server today....it sucks...i had 32kills for 1death,
And on stats i have overall Kill:Death ration of 4.00
that just isnt fun. :(
Any of the digitalservers.org are good as well. You can get all the ips from their webbie which is www.digitalservers.org (http://www.digitalservers.org) funnily enough.

I asked that when i was on, i clearly said "Is this a n00b only server?" 2 people with the n00bs tag on were on at the time and i recieved no reply.
Maybe i offended them. Because if its not a n00b server then i inadvertantly called them ALL n00bs.
ok i played 1 and a half maps on Da Noob server this evening. Italy and Dust.
i had 20+ kills on italy with no deaths
i had 50 kills on dust with 3 deaths
I got kicked and banned.
i even asked at the begining of the Dust map whether anyone objected to me playing but nobody answered.
i got 1 hack accusiation half way through the dust map in the form of "hippy du hack" but i ignored it and none of the other players commented.
[DANOOB]Digger was on my team but he didnt even hint at the possibility of me leaving.
just a straight kick and ban. :o
well i just got banned for asking why they banned Hippy, Bunch of lamers tbh.....
The response i got from asking "Why did hippy get banned?"
was..."He's a B@$t@rd"

If you have gone a little bit to school you can read it, and know what is means. :eyebrow:

I know alot of you UK guys love this server because of its good Ping/Latency

Actually, after posting here, I popped in this morning to see what it was like. There was one daNOOB (i think) person on, then a couple of other (different clan) folks joined in after a while.
It seemed quite different to the whole TCS concept, but that wasn't a surprise so much as an internal disappointment that I'd forgotten what fragfests are about. :huh:
The server itself was pretty fast; I died pretty fast too (you'll recall I'm not that good). It struck me that continual headshots by the guy rated #2 by the server's stats was not entirely a "welcome noob" policy, but perhaps that'll teach me to be less crap. The first couple of times I killed him, he appeared to be renamed "The Gimp" by an admin mod, presumably for having been so shite as to have been killed by me, as it only restored the original name once he killed me again as far as I can recall. I'm not _entirely_ sure where that fits in under the welcoming noobs concept either, but each to their own I suppose.
Quake sound files playing at annoying times...riiight. Hate them, personally.
I think, if I'm to extrapolate, that what *I* saw at least made me think that the aim of being a clan member on the server was to humiliate less capable players. Maybe I just got unlucky again.
On the upside, after 5 rounds getting mullered through the mincer on Dust, the guy did take the time to send a message saying "erm, you do know there's another route don't you?". I think this was an attempt to help me die less (or at least to pile up the blood in a different place). As it happens, as he was typing this, I had been busy on that other route, and was planting the bomb...
I'll give it another go shortly, and see if the vibe I get is somewhat different. I hope so, as it was kind of fun playing, but if I were a total noob I'm not sure I'd be coming back.
Sorry buts thats no excuse for why you banned me is it....i wasnt 'owning' or 'too good' i was being reasonable and asking why you banned someone..........

If it really is for total n00bs though, why would you have a clan? Doesn't it seem contradictory to have a clan of people who can play the game on a server aimed at people who can't play the game?
And why when playing on said server would a clan member make every effort to kill the apparent n00b repeatedly? Where's the challenge in that? It's no different to what a ban was issued for above, but because it's by a n00b clan member it's ok? If I were a n00b I'd have no idea how to plant a bomb, cos I'd never get past the mincer. And this is possibly why I like TCS - the CTs would presumably be defending the bombsites, rather than going on the attack towards T spawn.
If it's a public server for n00bs, I'd expect a bit more balance, and a little less glory-killing by the incumbent players who are probably just trying to wank their stats (which were displayed by the clan member two or three times while I was logged in, so maybe there's something in that).

Agree with tugs, its does seem a little strange to have a clan that hosts and plays a noob server. <_<
May be best if you all just let it drop and play somewhere else. We've all been banned from places in the past (*cough* cbm losers ended up banning the whole clan and even the word eBAD from their servers and forums. :devil: ) and accused of all sorts of crap by stupid wan... anyway if you drag it out it only goes to harm both sides and ruin a good reputation we've spent years building up.

As an ex-cbm member, I can only agree with you JB. What started out as a very friendly clan rapidly turned into something not very nice and that was a big reason for me leaving.....

A couple of my customers have asked me about playing cs the proper way,but alas they only have source and therefore we cant help them atm.They have done the rounds on the deathmatch cs servers and now want the teamplay aspect.Anybody actually have any ips for such a server(s) or do they not exsist. ;)
hmmm, I'm thinking this should be renamed DanOOB server debate, and another thread started for "good CSS servers" because I need to find some, ...not owning CSCZ is annoying now that dMw have kinda migrated soley to iy. Might have to start playing DoD again... :rolleyes:
