don't know if you all know this already. but found it the other day on a news group and it might be handy.
you know you can change the colour of your crosshair "adjust_crosshair"
but if you bind it to your fire buttons it can stop you losing it mid fire fight.
just add this to your config file:-
bind "mouse1" "+attack; adjust_crosshair"
bind "mouse2" "+attack2; adjust_crosshair"
I been using this for ages :D
// Disco X-hair
alias +disco "+attack; adjust_crosshair"
alias -disco "-attack; adjust_crosshair"
bind q discomode
alias discomode disco1
alias disco0 "bind mouse1 +attack; dev1; echo Disco mode off; dev0; alias discomode disco1"
alias disco1 "bind mouse1 +disco; dev1; echo Disco mode on; dev0; alias discomode disco0"
Complete with bind'ed key to turn it on and off.
'Cough' No sniperscope blackout anyone?
lol ahh the old disco x_hair raises its ugly head again
I usually just use the yellow crosshair. It works almost everywhere. But sure I got a key bound so that I can change the crosshair colour, still I only use the yellow one. :D
I use an aimbot so I don't need crosshairs. 8O
ROFLMAO

I thought that was a bit dodgy fell free t post it
It is well dodgy, but it is surprisingly easy to do. Knowing and actually using are two different things i should add at this point. :x
i tried just copying and pasting that disco x-hair to my config.cfg file (is that the right place?) and it hasnt worked...if i press the right mouse button the gun starts firing and doesnt stop, kinda scary really :?
do i need a special type of program to do it?
bear in mind im a total moron
Best place to put it is in a file called "autoexec.cfg" Once in there, go into the game, into console and type "exec autoexec.cfg" This will then prime the alias's and binds. After this it will load automatically and you can use the Q button to turn it on and off.
Might be an idea to also put in their the following...
alias dev1 "developer 1"
alias dev0 "developer 0"
Once loaded just fire your gun as normal and everytime you press fire it'll change colour, the same with everytime you release the fire button.
I had a try with disco X-hair and found it better to just bind a key to change the colour if required
also disco is so seventy's.............. now i have the electric-boogaloo version
I experimented and now, like Sadako, I stick with yellow.
asphinctersayswhat?
iam a default kind a guy................................
probably cause iam dog shit brains when it comes to pc gubbins :stupid:
I only use the CS change x-hair command bound to a key. EIther Yellow or Green seems to do most maps fine. Althought again, the dust maps are a crap colour for losing the x-hairs.
try the blue on dust, when im not concerntrating [sp i no]and start losing the x hair i use blue on dust.
