Post by: Dr Sadako on December 27, 2002, 01:54:26 PM
Yup! Finally I dragged my sorry ass away to the computer store and bought me a new HD. 120 GB will come in handy. As Benny would have put it "that is a lot of pr0n space".  :D

DC here I come!

What's a defrag?  Is that like where you resurrect someone you just shot in CS?

Au contraire......my HDDs are stuffed full of my 'paperless' office.  Along with the usual software I have all my business software, full drive images and daily backups.  Plus, when the post arrives every morning it gets scanned in, so there are document images galore on the system.  Its about 44kb per page roughly, so that's a lot of paperwork that I don't have to store  :D   The system actually works pretty well and is way faster than having to work from a paper file.

No one picked up on your pithy comment about defragging Windows then. Would that cutting remark be due to you dancing with the penguin rather than the devil?

It was more an attempt at a bad pun.  de-frag.......un-kill someone?  I know, I need to practice them more (or less)!

I wish I were dancing with Tux, but I know a little less than Jack Schitt about Linux.  For more info on Jack Schitt click here: http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=761 (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=761)

I plan to set up a system and try Linux out (Red Hat, Mandrake or SuSe look good), but I haven't got the time to build it yet - it's on the project stack at the moment.  So for the timebing I am stuck with the 'devil you know' and his dastardly Windoze sloathware.....
