2 cases: Short while ago, my Radeon 9800 pro went. Every mobo I tried it in, 1+2 beeps indicating card failure. The prospect of another £130 to replace it wasn't attractive. Something somewhere pointed toward Hercules offering 3yr warranties so I went to their site and twas true. Rang the helpline as was sent a form to complete and return, heard nothing for about a week then chased them. Next thing an RMA number appears. Slight pain is their office is France (pyuk) and had to use a courier as they reject standard mail. Not paying £30 for UPS so spent £7 and posted it Royal Mail AireSure. Week later I get notification they'd accepted my duff card and a replacement would be out shortly.
This lunchtime, left outside my front door was a La Poste parcel from Hercules with my replacement inside! Slight problem is my "postman" can't be TANGO'd with things that need signatures and just tears off the sticker and leaves the parcel.
Anyway, card works and happy. :)
Also contacted my nearest Ford Bodyshop (farnborough) about rust spots on my 2001 fiesta in known and common places for the mk4/5. 2 days later, they ring and say that leave it with them on a monday and they'll do the work under warranty. :)
Tight gits won't replace the steering wheel though, as the leather colour is wearing off and the wheel "trim item" is only warrantied for 12 months. :angry:
2 from 3 ain't bad though. :)
If I were you I'd go buy a lottery ticket quick :)
