I have recently brought a Netgear Router, the same as Vincent's but for some strange reason MSN wont work on it, i have used MSN before but since we had the router it cant find an internet connection, Anyone help??  <_<  :angry:  :angry:  :(

It needs unusual number of ports. Most router manufacturers suggest to just enable uPNP on the router to allow MSN to work through it.

its something to do with the forward port settings in your roooter set up..

I had to forward ports between 6891 and 6900 to my machine in order to get mine to work.  uPNP is off on mine and works fine.  

Just to let you know if you using NAT them you both won't be able to log on to msn at the same time, it only accepts 1 connection from a single IP.

ok i had msn problems with my netgear router! This is a known issue and can be sorted out with upgrades to your router. you can do this by finding your router on the site and downloading the new upgrades to sort out the problem. Posting the name or the router model may help us all sort out your issue more quickly though :P

the router is a net gear dg 834v2 :D
