Tomorrow my girlfriend and I are going on a little expedition. We're catching the 8:45am ferry from the Isle of Man to Haysham, then driving all the way to Sussex to stay with my gf's relations!
Gonna be a hell of a drive I think, M6 most of the way there, testing out the new Toll road on the way, which I hear is nothing more than a speedway to guage your cars top speed :D Particularly looking forward to this as I've been dying to try out our new Citroen C2 VTS on some English roads.
Hoping the M25 won't be too bad on a Sunday, crossing my fingers on that one. Oh, does anyone know any nice places to eat just north on Birmingham near Ikea?
Then next Sunday, on my birthday, we'll be driving from Sussex to stay with my family in Cheshire until Friday, which should be nice.
Gonna be back on Friday 18th March, although I doubt you'll even notice I'm gone :P
Hope the trip goes well, if you're on the toll road then you'll either have to eat before or after the toll road. IKEA Birmingham is not reachable from the toll road!
I'd recommend doing a web search for the best pubs & eateries in something like a real ale guide (from CAMRA or someone like that).
GL!
