I think so, but you might want to check with someone knowledgeable on the Data Protection Act
You can but you have to:
Let them know what you hold.
Let them see their details if they ask.
Protect the information from 3rd parties.
Theres prob more but that covers the basics

Thats about it here too, every business has a database of customers, I think I have about 1600 sets of details, but cannot share them, etc.

Norm, you should register with the DP Registrar for that use. Remember the DPA covers not just computer records but paper too.
