Title: Direct Connect
Post by: Benny on December 31, 2002, 12:37:53 PM
Righto, something made me think of this so here goes. I've got a DC hub setup and running, I need to get a DNS entry to make it easy for y'll but I will sort it out once I get this New Year out the way.

I dunno the load on the hub when people are using it and as I only have cable it may struggle, but I think the hub only provides the common link.
If not then somone with a bigger pipe may need to help.

So, we can have all the files and bits and pieces available to all, map-packs, *cough* software (photoshop etc), pr0n, etc.

Let me know your thoughts.

Good idea. I got stuff to share.

I use DC++ (or oDC++ to be correct) with only one slot open. This is very good as you get good DL and UL speeds and is recommended.

That's the only place I found DC++ 0.2.  I can download OK, but when I open the zip archive winzip tells me that it is not a valid archive (the download completes after only 11KB or so).

Any clues?

I got the archive from the Belgian server. Try that.
