Anyone else having trouble connecting atm? I get home from a Saturday morning at work and think I'll relax by playing some WoW. Wrong!

There were some issues this morning but they were sorted within 20 minutes.

Well they are currently creating more servers as there first estiamtes of the games demand was stupid, thats why the sudden lack of stock of the game. When they take the load off some of the busy servers by adding many more then they will statr selling the game again and all lag issues, and getting on problems will be much better.

Not been able to get onto Aszune since the patch this morning and the realm doesn't show up on the Blizzard website realm status list. Anyone got any ideas?
Edit: OK, it now shows up on the realm status page, but when I log in I still get the blank 'choose realm' window with no realms to choose, rather than the usual character list. Anyone?

The maintenance downtime has been extended. Obvioulsy the patch didn't go as planned. I've downloaded and installed the patch (65mb) and can log in. However when the server status screen appears there are now servers showing. I imagine they will come back up soon. You can check for updates HERE (http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/board.aspx?fn=wow-server-status-en)
On a related note check your mods as this patch will change the build number. Also some new additons such as extre button bars and on screen quest tallies may make things like "Bottom Bar" and "MonkeyQuest" obsolete.

Cheers Smilo, I figured as such but you never know do you ;)
I use Cosmos which seems to bundle a lot of mods together. Occassional minor crashes with it (that do not affect the game) but otherwise really impressed with it. It can monitor othe rparyt member's progress on quests, call for healing, warn of low mana and all sorts of things :D

There was a note yesterday that the maintenance down time was to be extended (as to the normal 7-11ish maintenance) due to the large patch. I think everything is going as planned. :)

.....but the notice said that they had planned their extended downtime to be finished by 11.00am GMT+1, which was almost 4 hours ago. I'd guess that the patch did _not_ go as planned?
