Title: Dead Men Skiing/Snowboarding?
Post by: Doorman on March 20, 2005, 02:11:57 PM
Yeah, yeah I've just returned from skiing but the thought to Mrs Doorman and myself that being with a bunch of friends would be great idea. So how about a dMw ski club? A trip could be arranged with us all in the same hotel. Obviouly I'm talking 'next year'. I feel quite excited by the prospect. Jas is a snowboarder along with his better half, DuVel is a skier and Swiss and his significant other are heavily into it (skiing that is)  so the beginnings are there. Good deals can be arranged for societies. Anyway, one to think about.

Lapland is actually the northern part of Finland and Sweden inhabited by the Sami people. Thought you'd like to know.

I think I might be up for it too  :D

I've done a BASI Snowboard Instructors course so I might be able to provide some sort of lessons if required, all unofficial of course! The European ski schools get a bit funny about that sort of thing.

Canda is ace. If you havn't been it is worth going. Everyones friendly and the queues (if there are any) are nice a civilised. Not a scrum as in Europe  8)

No doubt we could find a dingey basement for a couple of students! Will you lot stop talking about Canada and Rockies etc. I was thinking 'affordable' Anyway, it looks as though something could be arranged along about September time for a Jan/Feb trip. We'll kick this thread off again then and see what happens. Nice response, ta.  :D

Hi Yer Doorman and all  :D

I really had a great time ski-ing and drinking well more drinking as my leg got a little buggered for 2 days but i did ski on my last day and passed ski school with card and badge to prove it lol.

It was a big shock when i was waiting for the ski lift and some one was shouting out " hello witham " i turned around and there was doorman it was a big surprize to see him on ski's we did not have much time for a chat.

We bumped into each other again and agreed to meet in my hotel bar it was really nice to meet mrs doorman and of course ron i had a great time there and i think ron has got a good idea about us lot all going ski-ing.

I was expecting to see ron ski-ing on his chair that he takes to the lans lol.

Any way good to be back but i want to go again i love ski-ing a lot catch you all later bye.  8)
