Title: Uldaman Dungeon
Post by: Niel on April 06, 2005, 11:10:50 AM
I'd be very interested to know if anyone has managed to take down the big big boss in Uldaman ? Have had 3 goes so far with pretty strong partys but failed miserably.

Basically he is a Lvl 50 Elite with 44 lvl 40+ bodyguards that spring into life at timed intervals as you attack him.

Also, if you havn't had a wander over to Desolace then do so....very good place for grinding XP points. Suitable for lvl 30+.

Nope not Uldaman but Maraudon. I haven't gone for a lvl 50+ in Uldaman. Seems tempting though. :)

Havn't been to Maraudon yet........always seem to have something else to do. .....but will do soon as i've collected 4 Maraudon quests now.

I take it that it is no walk in the woods.

I was down there with a group of 5. We had one lvl 53 paladin, one 47 paladin, 49 hunter+pet, 46 rogue, and one 49 rogue. We got our asses kicked and then some! :S Make sure you have loads of healing potions and a strong group.

How are Paladin in dungeons or groups in general? Never played with one, i know they can heal but how well? rogues and hunters suck when doing dungeons, get some warriors and a priest instead and you will do it in no time

I play a paladin, and with my top heal i can get about 4-5 heals befor needing to rest. We also have lay of hands that can fully heal a player but at the cost of all our mana.

Also have ability to ressurect players which is quite handy.  I tihnk if coupled with a priest we can backup well, and give the priest some rest time.

Only level 22 so im not sure how that scales to higher levels.

Oy...there's nothing wrong with rogues  :P With the right weapons ( the biggest hitting one handed swords one can find ) for the occasion and the right tactics a good Rogue can kick TANGO big style ( i love flash powder ...and cheap shot...and kidney punch!! )......the usual problem i have found is that there are a lot of "run in and aggro all the baddies and the party get attacked by a group of 10 lvl 45 Elites" warriors around who rely on having 2 good healers around to repair the dents in their thick skulls.........and when everyone dies they don't realise they caused it... :narnar:  :narnar:

I agree, ive only been in deadmines, have been in about 4 times. Ive seen the dumbass warrior/rogue who agros loads and goes running off trying tobe the hero, eventual killing us all after not stopping and letting the team heal and generate some mana. After about 30 minuts of that you should know you aint getting anywhere with that group.

Also been in some great groups that took abit of time plan and test..
