I'm just curious as to the dMw policy on oubbers misbehaving?
Example, I was playing CZ aztec earlier, just after all the other members had gone, leaving me alone with about 10 pubbers.
We were playing ok for a while, then some guy starts trying to TK everyone in spawn. Wasn't really sure what to do to be honest, in the end I made the snap decision to lay him down. If I didn't he'd have carried on killing team mates until someone else killed him anyway.
If that was the wrong thing to do I'm sorry, but what is the routine for situations such as that?
yeah, I'd like to know too.
I thought to meself "I'll av im"....but he was k'd & b'd when i spawned
what possible fun can he get from that?
If you can't find any admins around to help then I'd suggest getting a short demo & the players steam id, then at the very least we can make sure he wont ruin any other games.
went back on Razer last night and within minutes was bothered by some-one called Japan Ace steam id: 0:1:7250715 who was tk'ing straight off from spawn ...and all the way through to the bomb site ....luckily BB appeared within a couple of rounds of me watchin him ....he was warned.....warned again ...kicked ...he came back and did it again ....he was warned and told many times before BB kicked and banned him ....never once did he try to reply to any instructions........................................
he was a complete AR$E !!
good riddance !!
as for your question Barley ....I would keep killing him at spawn ....just so he dont keep spoiling the game for everyone else .....ADMINS ..please correct us if we are doing wrong !!

I agree that it is annoying when somebody spoils it for others but I think we run the risk of escalating things and giving the wrong impression about dMw if we start TKing too.
If you cannot find an admin then start a demo recording then do a status in the console so we can see SteamID. If he does it again then publicly say in chat that you are demoing him because of his actions and that the demo is going to be passed to an admin. Don't tell him until he TKs again and you have the "evidence" incase he leaves before you can record the SteamID.
Please then either post the demo in the Charlie section of the forum (everything else is too public) or email it to an admin.
We will take action against the idiots if you guys can give us the evidence :)
Sorry your game was spoiled last night and I agreee that Japan Ace was an a*$e

Of course that will only work if you are a member of Charlie Company. doh!
Prob best just to email it to the admins.
Sorry for the confusion (it was early and I was tired ;))

ADMINS ..please correct us if we are doing wrong !!
Please do not TK or TW peeps on our servers. Use your Admin rights to warn them, kick and ban them as appropriate. The Admin Standards are at the top of the forum.

I am not an admin .....so just to try and get some kind of game going ...without this A$$wipe -japan ace tk'ing you when you were playing the game as its meant to be played there was no other option ......
the ONLY reason I TK'd him was we were waiting for BB to ban him .....he TK'd 2 out of the 4 players on our side whilst this was happening ....leaving only me/slowhand left ....he was just lining slow up when I had to take him out
whilst these guys are messing about doing all this ANY new players who want to play the game properly and who might get to visit our servers more regularly wont bother if we allow this to go on for a long length of time ...there were comments of "this is a nice server" being said sarcastically whilst he was TK'ing
these guys promptly left ......

I am not an admin
....but as a Charlie Company member you could be if you asked to be one. You could then help us monitor and maintain the standards we expect more effectively on our public servers.

Well I TK'd that guy as a split moment decision because he wasn't going to stop until he'd TK'd everyone on the team.
He stopped afterwards and just carried on being a normal tool instead of a bit one.
Sorry if that was wrong, but like I said, wasn't aware what to do, but now I know! :)
If a TK'er kept things up for round after I'd have done exactly the same thing in your position Barley, get in there before they get the chance to ruin anyone else's fun, apologize to the rest of the people and explain why but yeah why let him ruin the game for everyone. All assuming there was no admin about and demo's had been taken for future bans of course.
Back on the BYCS servers there was a rule that was enforced just as firmly as no deliberate TKing, which was that retailiatory TK/TW was just as bad - it carried the same punishments.
I'm not a Charlie or an admin so I feel bad for soapboxing, but it strikes me that you should just get a demo and steamid and call in an admin if you can. Going all vigilante would just make other people think that was acceptable behaviour, and is probably just what griefer buttholes want you to do anyway.
Do *not* TK on our or any publics. It goes against the grain, sets a precedent and could destroy our reputation. Apologise to any other players and tell them you're off to find an admin to ban the tosser.
If you feel strongly about wanting to see our publics thrive then get yourself into Charlie Company and apply to be an admin.
