Do you just need it reformatting?
Or virus-checked?

Both tugs if you can do it a beer or, your choice of drink is at state! I can't wait for the lan and yes tl i am drooling with anticipation;)
I'm happy enough to swap it in place of my 2nd drive, and do a Norton scan of it. But if you're reformatting it, it seems...pointless ;-)
I suppose I should ask, do you not have virus protection on your PC already then that you can use to scan it?!
there's several beers to the person who can check if my old hd is ok or not....
and if you are perticularly thirsty, I'm sure I can find more for your elbow :D
I have a USB2-IDE cable and power supply that I'll try and remember to bring along.
It should make things easier! :D

A most salient point. GM, do you actually have AV software on your PC? What's the problem with not virus scanning beforehand with your AV software? Most IDE ribbons have a spare plug for a slave drive so I would have thought you could do this prior to the LAN, although as tugs says, if you're going to reformat it then just slot it into your PC as a slave and reformat it there?
TL.
You really don't want to be infecting other people's PCs at the LAN, that would be very painful!!

Twig we all know you suck and you're too tight to "splash" out on the LAN but you don't have to continually publicly humiliate yourself like this..

I was mainly worried i would infect others as GFK mentioned above. I can confirm i put the drive in my pc and is all ok now! LAst time i used it had a virus on it which seems to have gone after formatting it! I have an aniti virus and have checked it
Thanks
