No wonder this is the only thread I could find about Lost Coast! I went down in the lift 187 times before I went to find a walkthrough. Jesus! That was it! No surprise they gave it away with Orange box then. :ranting2:

Lmao, yeah. It's quite a short thing, just a taster for HDR. I was still expecting a little more than it gave though.

As Lee said, HL lost Coast was a show case for there HDR, nothing more. They gave it away for free months ago, long before orange box.

Try Episode one, I quite enjoyed that :)

I thought EP 1 wasn't that good.

I've been playing it and found it rather boring. Is Lost Coast any better?

Ep2 is much better than Ep1. As stated above, lost coast is more of a demo of HDR.

Lost Coast is there HDR taster, its like a demo level, its not the same as ep1/ep2.

I have enjoyed ep 2 more then 1. But I still enjoyed 1.

Being free, Lost Coast is always worth a look imo.

Allready tryed Lost Coast a while back and thought it was short.
Episode 1 was pretty ease. Currently playing Episode 2 which is getting quit difficult atm.

Lost Coast is easily completed in one go. It's like a demo of HL2 (and the HDR part of the engine) without giving away any of the plot of the Half Life universe. It came free with HL2 (maybe even any source engine game/to everyone) when it came out.
And like everyone has been saying EP2 is MUCH better than Episode 1....and it came with cool games too (especially TF2)

Really? It took me about the same time to complete Ep1 and Ep2.

:boxing: Half Life 2 was one of the first FPSes where my very first playthrough was on the hardest difficulty instead of the middle one. Since then i've played through all PC FPSes i've got new on the hardest difficulty right out the box.

...Except Bioshock. That owned me on hard

hehe, some games are really doable on hardest, while others really are bloody impossible, i played painkiller on trauma, which was a good challange.
