Title: ViewSonic VX924 19-inch 4ms TFT LCD
Post by: TeaLeaf on April 29, 2005, 07:52:46 AM
4ms? - that's the bit that bit my attention :D

The bit that really got my attention is that the 4ms is GTG (grey to grey) response time, not the usually quoted marketing department's black to white response time which is irrelevant to actual use (as the bit you really notice is the GTG response not the B2W response).

QuoteGaming Performance
Firing up Q3DM17, a sharper texture quality on the map was immediately noticeable. Texture and image clarity on the VX924 was quite simply amazing.

Game play performance couldn't have been smoother as well. Similar to the video tests, there was absolutely no noticeable ghosting or trailing.

Read the review here (http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles/view.php?cid=1&id=1529).  I reckon if it ran at 1600x1200 then I'd be on the phone to Norm right now  :dribble:

I read about these new screens in my pczone magazine. They have as  4ms refresh rate which is very close to the refresh rate of a CRT monitor. However the price you will have to pay will be something around £400. The 19 inch variant will be out first and then shortly followed by the 17inch if i recall correctly. I am looking forward to being able to buy one that is alot cheaper. :)
