Hello guys,
Some of you may not know but ill be getting hitched in August and I need to book the honeymoon. Problem is i can't decide where to go.
I'm not much into places like Ibiza or dopey little island that focus on nightlife. I much prefer places like lake garda/venice (where i proposed ;) ).
I wouldnt mind Tuscani but I think I would like to try somewhere a little less well known.
Any suggestions/recommendations?
edit: when I say "I", I mean "we" ;)
I went to Zermatt in Switzerland for my honeymoon. Beautiful scenery and you can nip into Italy for the day by going "over the hill" if you want - Mmmm, the house red was Barolo :cheers:
As you're on your honeymoon I can't see why the location is important ;)

Went to St Lucia for mine. Nice island but small and darn hot. Wouldn't recommend if you were going for more than 1 week.
Went to the Dominican Republic for mine, all inclusive. Absolutely loved it, snorkelling, scuba-diving, sailing, party til dawn if you want to. Or lie beside the pool all day doing absolutely nothing. :cheers:
Maybe a bit warm in August though but worth a thought

We thought about doing a long haul to the caribbean for our honeymoon but decided to go short haul and ended up going to the island of Capri of the Amalfi coastline.
A. after the wedding we were both knacked and therefore glad not to go long haul
B. it's beautiful and it's very romantic.
FWIW, we stayed at the Capri Palace Hotel and loved it - the luxury combined with the superb spa was bliss.

I was there last week, nice scenery etc, but I'd personally pick abroad for Honeymooning
