We have asked members (in a different thread) to indicate whether or not they would be able to make dMw LAN VIII if it were held on 7th, 8th and 9th October 2005. At the time of writing only 19% of voters said 'No' whilst the majoirty of respondents said 'Yes' they could attend. This is particularly good news as these were the only dates that the hotel had available - and in reality they kicked out another group into another room to allow us use of our usual facilties.
So, we are delighted to announce confirmation of the dates for LAN VIII - 7th, 8th and 9th October 2005
Booking will start soon and we hope to have another well-attended and successful event. Room prices are confirmed as £43 for single occupancy and £56 for double occupancy.

I hear what you're saying DM but I would look at it from this angle as well..
1. You're supporting the LAN by staying at the venue
2. Hotel discounts are geared toward the size of the attendees. Less is Less.
3. Most importantly, it's better to be a resident of the hotel as walking to and from your room is a pain in the ass and you'll be missing out on morning breakfast with the group where we can laugh at how hung over we all look.
From experience, my first LAN I couldn't get to the main venue and I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the others..
Just a thought.

Soon, but not yet. I need to finalise a couple of bits and pieces on the organisation front. Give me a few weeks. Official booking of places will be announced privately to Charlie and Bravo members first, then released to Alpha members shortly after.
