We're organizing an informal 4-on-4 tournament over at Network 42, and you're all invited.

There are already a bunch of Europeans involved, so we'll have to do some of the matches on the weekends already anyways.

Here are the rules:
Rules:
4 on 4
de_ maps only
each team plays 5 rounds on each side
N42 rules in effect
Points system
- 4 points for killing self or team mates
1 point for time running out
2 points for killing entire team
3 points for defusing the bomb (CT only)
3 points for a successful bombing (T only)

i think we should put a couple of squads forward from dmw, i dunno if ill b avail as "they are pld on weekends" and i work weekends

Me thinks that Sheepy with his crap connection should avoid at all costs. Me played there 2 weeks ago and got a ping of 320 on average and me have a 2.5Mbit ADSL connection ...

Maybe we could not do a "dMw" team, but instaed do a "Meathook" team, that way i can play too. I'm sure their are other's that would appreciate it too. Sensible hours of hours. :twisted:

the reason I ask is 'cos Monday 20/1 I am getting isdn installed and I will need that (for same reason as sheepy ) and I will also need to get used to low ping stylee of play as well !!

Rought teams are posted, but the N42 CS demons take a while to spring into action, plus it'll look like a dMw match anyway cos there is more of us than any other group.....don't hold your breath...but you can cross your fingers...

The teams were all subject to change, I put up some completes with a view to changing it all, if and when they give us a date...so don't think I missed anyone out, I was trying to spark some life over there!!

2. I have no idea about the map pack and whether it is needed, but someone mentioned it so I downloaded it. It is 47MB.

Did anyone mention this 'map pack' before now? Sorry to say but if maps haven't even been chosen and someone throws in a map half of us have never even heard of then i for one wil have to think about not participating. :x

The map pack released form N42, sorry Tactical Gamers is a mix of old maps from their previous map packs and a few new one. I think only one or two were new to me in any case. I think you have most of them actually.
I doubt they will play on any new maps, N42/xlii.com/tacticalgamer.com is tending to play on standard maps these days anyway, so I suspect it will be a bog standard map that is played - so no worries eh? :D

First post here and I am going to take exception to something.
It was a N42 tournament, thus it was run on the N42 server. The pings, for the most part, looked pretty good.
As for the map, I am sorry it isn't one you guys have on your server, but it has been a standard map on the N42 server for some time now. It is a small map that 4vs4 teams can easily play. It is also familiar, even if it is a de map instead of a cs map.
The rules of the tournament, while they differ from clan matches, were mentioned in various threads. Next time, I will have a single announcement in the N42 CS general forums.
I apologize for the late organization for today. Like it was mentioned, I was out of town half this week and didn't have access to a computer to update things. Future tournaments will be organized in greater detail, earlier.

Well, Vicious beat down the team we played. I dont even remember who we played. I woke up 5 minutes before the match. Heh. :P
That would be Benny, Squonk, Ninja and myself then, we lost 9-3 and then called it a day when we were 4-0 down in the 2nd match as Benny had to leave.....
Well, lets do it again. Hopefully this time we get to finish it :D

sorry for missing the last match albert, but i asked n42 where i could get the map and no-one answered. I then proceeded to get "BEYOND" pissed off trying to find the map. I could have killed someone! so i went back to meathook. sorry...then my computer crashed....again

it may have messed up cs_thunder.bsp ....just tried to get on MH with this map playin and it says my version is different...the pack is the only thing i have changed

It's no use slipping the bsp file onto the site like it was there all the time. I've been mucking about trying to get thunder to work for yonks. Now I discover that it was a wicked trick by evil Boss Men :cry:

should be the same as in the downloads section (which is mine and it works).
n1 .....well nobody can say there is no support out there for people with probs :D
