I'll buy the dog. :D :D
Sold, to Madness. Mad, you get the three existing kids, Mick, you get the missus, I'm keeping the dog, he likes my balls when I feel down.
Admin - Move this to hardware software please -
I've powered it with 1 / 2 / 3 / 0 RAM, still nadea, so either the ram is borked or the motherboard is. I'm gonna try one of the sticks at work tomorrow, so that'll rule that out.
I'm assuming my drives / proc / gfx card are ok, drives seem to spin, don't know why the grfx woulda screwed, so....
cheap solution - the ram is knacked - I buy some more. Easy
cheap solution 2 - The m/b is knacked, i'll need a new one, should I just buy another nf7-2?
I have a spare proc so no worries there.
it ain't the RAM. so, mb then?
Same one? so I need a socket A, bit of overclocking....nothing heavy. Cheap please...ideas?
What shows on the screen Benny,anything/nothing?
nothing, not a beep, blip or flicker in site.
I need to put an old PCI gphx card in tonight.
Would it POST without gfx or proc?
Nothing to execute bios so no cpu no post.
kk, I'll swap the proc aswell.
would make sense to be the proc I suppose. THe Pc has all the cooling of a microwaved pop tart in a sauna in abu ghraib.
it ain't the proc/mem/gfx card. So...mb then.
So come on, cheap, socket A, slight o/c, thinking about running it in oil, so no moving parts, but we'll see.

Lights are on, fans are spinning and I'm fairly sure one of them is a 12v fan, so potentially are good. Will double check it.
