Very good taste there Sadako - Philip K Dick is one of the finest SF authors out there.

He wrote a short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" which is the inspiration for Total Recall (great premise, but the film was far too "Hollywood" for my tastes) as well as Blade Runner.

If anyone likes him then you might also like the work of Iain M. Banks and his "Culture" novels.

Based on a great book by Herbert Asbury which has just been re-released a few months ago after many years out of print.  Highly recommended.

Great book - Michael Connolly if I remember correctly.  Incidentally he has done some other great cop thrillers (none others are films though as far as I'm aware)

Sorry for the late time getting back to you guys - thanks for the warm welcome (I think   )

You guys come highly recommended (by my son no less), so thought I'd give PCS a try after getting shot to bits continually by 12 year old hyperactive chatterbox monkeys.

Fave line is "Joey have you ever been in a Turkish prison" and a great visual gag has to be when Kareem Abdul-Jabbar gets pulled out in full NBA gear.

Thats when my drinking problem started..... :drinking:

See you all soon
