ARMA / Persistently interesting.

Pity he was not quite so interesting with the vid but the benefits of alive mod are many with persistence being one of them, I personally dont run any mods without a mod launcher like arma 3 launcher or the like as you can always turn things off that are a problem.
Sorry if I am boring you with server admin but once setup your admins may like it a great deal!

Latest and greatest PO3 is incarnated and layered on insurgency it has the newer type [zeus style] ammo boxes.

There is more than one version of PO3 available the latest with squad mod inmo is by far better, think mission based tasks [skip able by admin at any time] but and heres the real deal clincher, you wont even get to the mission with the random patrols turned to max [ground patrols dont even think about random air].
I have never tried an armoured column to objective to see if you could fight you way there though, could be fun.

Mission Review / razm altis 6.3 coop x
November 14, 2014, 08:54:50 PM
Coop mission,
Has a version of insurgency [enemy squares] running full time, with Patrols ops 3 running on top [think random patrols/squad-mod/management for Team lead].
Ups,
No one can do things like fly or drive without authorisation,
Low server stress compared to regular insurgency issues,
Patrols can be set via amount in parameters,
Ai can be controlled via parameters,
You set the patrols to high you wont make it a to a mission or even a red square [that kinda works for me some days]
Very realistic even for arma [ie you cant just fly over there and shoot stuff]

Downs,
Admin and TL may need a trial run or quieter evening to test [though burden is shared through the squad-mod system]
Its a fairly early release and has a few niggles [we have played non stop last 6 sessions and are impressed]

Mission Review / Random AI Attacks

Random patrols are very well implemented in PO 3 [patrol ops] which I think was the first successful mission to get it to work with a great menu for amounts and skill levels, the other major feature which your admins would love are the squadmod settings adjustable on the fly by admin and TL [team lead] in game.

ARMA / Major update to patrol ops.
April 17, 2014, 06:50:53 PM
Looks like A3 content has finally caught up with A2, amid all the glitz and glam of the wonderful new engine there was nothing really new under the actual hood. The lack of totally random patrols weather foot, armoured or airborne had surfaced in escape but the new version of patrol ops 3.01 blows everything out of the water.
There is also a rather nifty feature called squad mod for player control and load out restrictions [ think flight, armour and artillery control] this is quick and easy to use and comes built in. New uav [armed] and ugv[armed] options are great when things get to tough, ahh did I not mention the tough, its tough real tough think along the lines of hostile environment where you wont get much further than your air base.
I know a lot of DMW like a tough mission but this tears the a*s out of it, set all settings to medium at first and take a helo over the island to check radar contacts and remember this is outside of your mission.
Whilst on the subject of missions they are quickly and easily skipped via team leader laptop if you are after a particular type of mission just click skip until you get to something you all want.

Hi all heres another of my favourites I feel I must share with you,I am sure you will like almost as much as Escape Stratis/Altis, fairly basic tasks in general, designed for 35 players but we got very far with 6, [I was thinking 2 squads maybe one night?].
Features that stand out are
Only medics with the medic kit can revive although you can steal this from his pack to revive him/others then give it back. [leave room in back pack or this wont work]
You can pick any of the 35 slots and join group via the menu when next to team leader to balance/increase fire power of your team.
You can stabilise team mates with out a medic kit but they wont get up with out the medic.
I wont go to far into the mission detail aside to say things become a little tricky at the POW rescue have fun and dont forget to reply here if you enjoyed it.

ARMA / Mass Domination Run

Team split as overwatch and assault for each group.
Over watch team role as sniper/mg/rocket support covering route into town/tower, will restrict tanks/planes/artillery etc, assault team will need explosive charges to take the tower.
Assault team follow covered route to tower, wether thats the shortest route through red circle or the more interesting longer route can be tested, server will need von switched on but only for command channel, we can use our server if u like only mod is cba main which is not required as tested with out.
Be interesting watching each others teams styles/techniques eh?

ARMA / Update
February 08, 2014, 11:53:36 AM
Hey guys just in case anyone has any misconceptions about this game type based on previous experience, this map/mod is designed with smaller amounts of players in a more cqb [close quarters battle] situation.
Its a bomb situation with a defuse/explode resulting in the bomb moving a few hundred yards along the street depending on result.
It makes for very tense game play, you really do yourselves no favours camping at the bomb your better off to flick the switch [stand next to bomb] and get out as the bomb site is the target of much fire and tripwires?
This gives your team a chance to surpress any enemy advance, please dont think the [FGC] team are any good at this as we nearly always play coop to and theres been a little arm twisting to make this happen!
