Well after 7 years or more of being "meh" and mostly only playing on consoles I'm getting back into the PC groove.  Hopefully at the end of the month I'll be putting together a half decent gaming rig and can finally stop playing on the work's laptop ssshhh

I'm on steam under -=[dMw]=-Stryker as I always have been.  This last few weeks I've been getting back into the swing of things and last weekend got myself COD Modern warfare, BF4.... also been playing TF2 and killing floor a lot of late.  I always used to enjoy gaming years ago and I need to pick myself off the floor and start doing more stuff that I like.

Sooo what you guys mostly playing these days?

I play it! in fact I took a 5 year break from PC gaming only pottering about in COD on my ps3... however Dayz has got be back to regular PC gaming.... It is WAY better when you got a mate or two to play with, you'll enjoy better survival chances and be able to have some fun pratting around etc.

I was on here looking for peeps to team up with myself.  I tend to only play hardcore servers though as they limit the view to first person.... 3rd person view is stupid but the visual advantages it offers means I cant play on regular servers and ignore it.

Also, there is a youtube channel called mrblackout and there are "DayZ Diaries" on there, 18 in total.  Pretty entertaining stuff even if you don't play the game.

Hey fellas!

After more than 8 years (so long? guess so) I can actually say I've made a comeback to PC gaming in a limited way.  I just had to buy and install DayZ didn't I? and now I remember why I've abstained all these years because its took over my life again!

Flipping game is just so damn good, plus been a bit apocalyptic world fan and even bigger fan of The Walking Dead you might see why DayZ appeals to me.

Noticed we don't have a dayz forum on here, surprises me, thought it would of found a following amongst you guys.

Anyways.... just thought I'd pop in and say hi!  Noticed the LANs are still going, I'm rather over due to attend.

I've been mostly a console gamer these last few years (as my inactivity here shows), gaming has be a very casual periodic/rare thing for me thus a console it is.... also I don't run windows anywhere in my house!  I became both sick and done with windows several years ago... pi$$ed off with microslop.

Its nice to see valve may be helping bring gaming to linux! even if it is indirectly with dev they are funding to put the console to market...

As for consoles?  well they may die out... think about it, a console used to justify the cost by being 10x better than any PC... nowadays thats just not so...  also I'm getting sick at the sheer volume of hardware coming out... lets see, on my buy list I have:

Wii U
AMD's console
ouya
PS4
Steam console

I might not be a big game player any more but I'm starting to think (especially if linux takes off for mainstream gaming) that upgrading my PC and maybe just buying an ouya is the way to go! not made of money!

Good idea covering the name.... I wish more people would migrate to google+ leaving facebook behind... I was just thinking I like google+ as it keeps me up to date with whats going on without having to consciously choose to visit a forum and log in etc etc....  fair comments though.
