No internet connection this morning.
So after several router reboots, I checked on my isp status page only to find ...http://status.fast.co.uk

So I've signed up with a new isp and have to wait 5-10 days to connect.

I've been with Firenet for almost a decade and have been very pleased with the service right up to this morning.

Hopefully I'll be back in time for the Xmas comp.

Last year we took a months rental on 4 servers and kept 1 as Boomer when the month was up.

This year, to avoid excessive expense, it may be a good idea to look at pay as you go servers and just get 3 for the afternoon.

I haven't priced or explored the idea yet, but I will investigate in the next couple of days.

The dMw CS:GO Xmas tourney will be held on Thursday 29th Dec at 4.30 UK time.


Please sign up below if you'd like to take part and I'll update the list.


Teams will be sorted near the date, when we have an idea of numbers.

Team size will depend on interest.

Last year we had 8 teams of 5 players which, tbh, was too many teams and it went on a bit too long. (I think I finished it up at 10.00!)


Servers will be pass-worded for the duration of the comp. and the PW will be posted here near the time.


It would be good if you could also join Teamspeak so you know which server/team you are on.


As usual, we will seed players and make sure the teams are about equal strength.

I'm thinking that we should sort a day for the Xmas tourney.

Xmas day is Sunday, I think something like the following weds or Thurs (28th or 29th) would be good, although I'm not bothered if some other day is picked.

Last Xmas we had the luxury of 4 rental servers, I've no idea what the setup will be this year, any suggestions welcome.

We had 40+ people last year, all of them registered on the forum and a lot of them still with us, and I'm hoping that with some server adverts we can swell our ranks a bit more.

So post up you preference for when, and any suggestions you have.
