I have cracked open MSFS2020 again.  Anyone up for a group flight one evening/weekend?

Any VR users looked at Poulation: One yet (https://store.steampowered.com/app/691260/POPULATION_ONE/)?  I'm wondering if its worth a go.

Would it be possible to get a dedicated discord channel for Flight Sim.  With the launch of MSFS we are trying to reinvigorate the group and maybe even get some new flyers via FS Economy.  To help with this it would be better if flight sim had its own text and voice channels channels.  Is this possible?

[The source code]

As Conan required an IP address for connection and the game server is subject to address changes every now and then, I have create a game launcher that will look up the IP address from the managed domain deadmengaming.co.uk.  It will lookup the IP, and, as long as the form is filled in correctly, launch the game into the dMw server.

A heads up:  There is little to no error handling.  There are no  tests.  Please wash your hands after use.

Fancy getting some FS economy going again?  I have got Sim connect working with it, so should be easy to pick up where we left off...

I have put together a series of flight plans going from the Seattle area through to Anchorage in Alaska.  Each plan is roughly 140nm in length and between them cover a mix of mountain and scenic flying by the water.  

Plan 1 is the route that Cheese, Sparko and myself flew last night.

How do we feel about doing further legs?

Had a fantastic mp flight last night with Sparko and sulky.  Fired the Sim up today and stuck on the Press Any Key to Start screen.

Found a forum post on the issue, but not of the solutions help for me so far.

So...contemplating Ark.  What dlcs do I need to get started on the current server?  Is there a reset planned?

For those who might be interested, Farming Simulator 19 is free at the moment in the EPIC store.

So, since the LAN, it seems that I am quite enjoying ED again.  Is anyone up for some regular play again?

Any plans for an event?

I was wondering if anyone would be up for a Minecraft ultra hard core (UHC) competition at the LAN?

Well, I just got a copy of ED on Steam and am in the process of learning the basics...whoa!  Anyway, I was wondering if I could hook up with the dMw crew?  I'm not sure how you guys have things structured, but I'd like to play.

There is a great flight planning tool created by one of the members of the Niska Aviation FSE group (now retired I think).

It enables the user to create multiple queries on the FSE database and then display those results on Google Earth to aid with flight planning.

The latest version of this software can be found in the FSE Flight Planner Group on fseeconomy.net, here.

Once you join this group, you will then find an new forum category called "3rd Party FSE Tools" and under that, FSE Flight Planner.  There is a sticky inside that category with a link to the planner .

This tool used to be 'paid' for using FSE dollars, but I believe that this is no longer the case (might be wrong there).  I have installed it with no problems and so far not been asked to set up a subscription.  Either way, I have found it really useful for visualising possible routes.

So I have been thinking about the idea of passenger consolidation.  The idea is that we gather up smaller groups of passengers in one place (perhaps one of our FBO's) and then utilise a large rented plane to complete all the assignments in one go.  What do you guys think?  Obviously, someone would need to co-ordinate the activity.

So I bought a Piper PA-32 Saratoga TC II.  Only problem is...it's in South Africa!  So I'm going to slowly ferry it back....

Not sure if these will display properly.

I was wondering if dMw had a multiplayer server that we could utilise for FSE.  If we are going to focusing efforts in and around our FBO's this could add an interesting layer of involvement.  Alternatively, what about using FSXSE?

I did notice a couple of threads about FShost.  I have no experience of this, is it relevant to this topic?
