Don't know if Banter is the most appropriate place for this, but here goes...

This link will take you to a Blog being written by the employees of directnic.com, an internet hosting company in New Orleans.  Their workers are holed up in their office building in the downtown area, and the blog gives an eyewitness account of what is actually going on in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Sobering reading indeed.
