A Hacker in a Pocket

A US company is flogging a wireless handheld hacking device with hundreds of hacks and an automated exploitation system.
Silica will go on sale in the United States in October and is made by an outfit Immunity, which sells penetration testing gear.

Early versions of the gear support 802.11 (Wi-Fi) and Bluetooth wireless connections and have more than 150 exploits using Immunity's Canvas product.

The big idea is that security professionals can conduct penetration tests while walking through office cubicles.

A spokesSilica said that the device would mean that a tester could do their job while appearing to be an innocent visitor to the office.

It is possible to scan every machine on every wireless network for file shares and download anything of interest to the device. Then just put it in your pocket and walk through your target's office space, the spokesSilica claims.

It is also a gift to would-be hackers who can afford the $3,000 the gear will cost.

...It will hit he shops in October.

Kidding, i dont have 3k to f'ck away like that.  If that works as good as you say it do, there'd be no reason at all to have Firwalls etc.
