Saw this, a lot appeared to do with a member of Mercury. I did see the video Becky linked to, not pleasant.

I think we have a good enough rep to get people looking for a fair and clean race, not just aliens or ultracompetition. See what happens anyway.

It was several servers dedicated to different levels of cars. To access the cars you started on the UF1s accumulated suffient points via wins, places, finishes etc. to allow you to progress to more powerful cars. Licences were awarded, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum. They also ran a league and published the fraps movie complete with commentary. In all, rather well done if you like that kind of 'structure'. Many did.
