It's been proven before, that ppl in lesser gear, can do more than ppl in better gear, just down to pure knowledge of their class.

IÃ,´d say it's been proven even more, that ppl in great gear, can do far less than ppl in worse gear, just down to pure ignorance of their class

I mean, I have seen people in blues doing over 5K on Festergut 10 with 25% buff and then I have seen people in full t10 doing 6-7K in 25 man(regularly)

Picking only one fight to judge someones performance is just ridiculous! Especially the Rotface fight does not say anything about the performance of a player in case you saw him only once in that fight. Remember? These little blobs? When you get three or four throughout a fight your performance is neglectable, when you got none, your the shiny, very capable super dps, super super man!
The performance of a player is not linked gs and to sheer dps neither!
Good raiders are those who do their job and never talk about it!

Sorry, I made a mistake with linking Rotface instead of Festergut. However, I think I might not have expressed my point clearly. I didnt want to spam the post with bunch links to individual fights (one reason is that I thought it would be pointless, second reason is that most of our logs have already expired). The purpose of the linked report should have been illustrative.

Especially the Rotface fight does not say anything about the performance of a player in case you saw him only once in that fight. Remember? These little blobs? When you get three or four throughout a fight your performance is neglectable, when you got none, your the shiny, very capable super dps, super super man!

1) there is no player in DMR I have seen only once
2) if you state an argument, you should verify its validity beforehand. Those that were "your the shiny, very capable super dps, super super man" all got 1-2 Mutated Infection which is the same number as most of others did (except for 2 players who got 3). Even if you get 3 of them and it takes 10 seconds to get back to boss on average, still it is mere 10% of the fight thus gimping your DPS by up to 10%. That is far from "neglectable performance".

Did I mention the performance is linked to GS and do I think so? Hell no!
Do I think performance in more or less "tank and spank" fight is linked to sheer DPS (or rather damage done)? Hell, yes!  But I do admit it is not lucky and safe to judge by one fight - from many random reasons that are not necessarily the playerÃ,´s fault.

100% agree on the part with doing their job. However, they can (and in my opinion should) point out when somebody doesnt do their job - not because they are jerks but because they want the others to improve and do their job, too. Do you know how much it plssed me to see people ignoring Bone Spikes on Marrowgar just to hear stupid "excuses" like "I thought others will do it" "lol lag" "my AoE sucks" - generally from the SAME people that were a bit later AoEing like crazy despite Plagued Scientists were marked and it has been called out on TS single target those scientists?

I will tell you what in my opinion makes good player a good player: He is not trying to search for excuses and is not blaming bad luck for his poor performance. How can 3 Mutated infections be a bad luck? It is NOT. All you have to do is look where the offtank is, get to him in 3-4 seconds, wait till the oozes merge and get back to boss in 2 seconds. I admit, it sucks if you are melee and get the first Infection. But is is not a bad luck that will make your DPS neglectable in the whole fight.

In my opinion bad luck is if on heroic Marrowgar you get impaled, then hit by Coldflame and Marrowgar picks you as a target of Bonestorm. Or on hc Deathwhisper you get MCed into Death and Decay and get targeted by Vengeful Spirit - that means things that kill you no matter what your decisions are.

I have written far too much more than I intended and perhaps far too more that needs to be written just to say that good gear can be worn by players that are not good.
