RIP Magenta #FF0090

Last year we could read about the german telephone service provider Deutche Telecom, hammering out lawsuits to any other service provider in most of the world, that is or has used the color Magenta in their logo or marketing at some point.
Especially the Telephone company Telia is in Deutch Telecoms Spotslight lately..
The weird people from NL has made a site in honor to Magenta / #FF0090

Heard about this a while ago.
Thought it was really silly.
Why would they be the only ones allowed to use magenta in their logo...:doh:

AFAIK the reason for the last suits, is that about a year ago, a world renowed Analysist (miss spelled wrong i know) declared Deutche Telecoms logo, the loge in Europe with the highest value or something.
So after that Deutche Telecom, decided that no one else in the buisness should be allowed to use the color Magenta as they think it would relate people minds to their well know logo, cause its mainly Magenta colored..

So now they are hammering law suits towards some 136 European companies, which within the last 2 years is or have been using Magenta in the Marketing/Logo's.

Especially Telia in Denmark/Sweden are getting sued for around 65+ million Dkr each, for miss use of their color as a PR guy from Deutche Telecom stated.

This claim reminds me of Paris Hilton trying to claim the phrase "That's hot", really silly imo
