Anyone else seen it yet?

I thought it was very good, especially considering how incredibly awful it could easily have been.

Plenty of nods to the original series/movies, clearly Mr Abrams knows (and more importantly, respects) his Trek!

Oh, and Leonard's cameo was excellent I thought.

Yes, I really enjoyed it.  :)

Dr Sadako

Not bad. Looking forward to the next in 2011.

Liked it a lot. Have friends both very into their old Trek and others relatively new to the whole thing, and both groups loved it, which is a good sign.

Mal: Define interesting...

I gave this 7/10. It was good, I like the graphics, casting and acting, directing etc. I just didn't really rate the story. Just setting something in a different but similar universe seemed lazy to me.
Juggling Hard Disks over concrete floors ends in tears 5% of the time.

ChimpBoy

Enjoyed it a great deal - good fun and well made.

Still think Wrath of Khan is the best Star Trek, but this probably slides in at number 2, ahead of First Contact and Undiscovered Country.
If I wanted you to understand I would have explained it better

Toxteth

I thought this film was pretty good, 7/10, the girlfriend thought it was even better!

Really enjoyed the addition of Simon Pegg as well.

BrotherTobious

It was Flare pretty, all teh special effects looked amazing and all at the same level I thought.  Story Meh to be honest but over all it was ok.

"Over the centuries, mankind has tried many ways of combating the forces of evil... prayer, fasting, good works and so on. Up until Doom, no one seemed to have thought about the double-barrel shotgun. Eat leaden death, demon.." Terry Pratchett

Thulsa Doom

Was good but..
Chekov's accent was annoying.
Simon Pegg as Scotty was annoying, didn't do it for me.
The Enterprise bridge looked too clean and hi/tech.
Scotty getting stuck in the water tubes was stupid.

Was good other than that.

New Kirk is good, like Bones, Spock, Uhura.

Good to see nondescript guys in red tops get fried!

TeaLeaf

I saw it at launch and was only moderately impressed.  It passed the time, but I felt the story left a lot to be desired and they left you with a feeling of 'I've just been post-productioned' at several points where the story lurched forward over the edit or script hacking.

Fun film, but only 6/10 from me.

Not confirmed yet, they are waiting to gauge the results of this one first and then they will decide, no story or script started yet.

not seen it yet, I look forward to though as I only read positive things about it.

Question for you treky fans, who is the only person who has participating in some way in every series to date?

(Only found this out recently)
