ive been looking over whiteys logs for the last run thought id post here to get more perspectives on it and check im going on the right lines as im no expert on warriors.

needs more hit, as a titan grip warrior he is NEVER going to reach the white hit cap (25% hit), but i think that another 4% hit would boost dps dramatically, as would virtually guarentee and moves hitting and give him 4% more wite dmg and 4% more rage. 11% total hit with precision is about perfect balance from what i understand.

looking on the EJ site i picked up a rotation of 1x whirl wind, 2x Blood thirst and 1x slam every 8 secs. personally i dont see why there is a slam in there unless you are specifically going for a slam build (which is arms).
 - TBH i think the best way to advise him to go is to use WW, BT and heroic strike as prio talents. - ie not using slam.

he definatly needs to use heroic strike a lot more, and execute is very under used, when below 20% target hp, should you use just execute?

the slam becomes an instacast when somthing procs ... i think its flurry

The dps is rage dependant ... a rotation of 1x whirl wind, 2x Blood thirst and 1x slam as you get more rage efficient you can pop heroic strike as a rage dump tho it needs to be at the right time or you loose a melee swing

When a boss is in execute zone .. swap that for the slam.. still keep BT and WW as prio

prio ...   BT ..WW.. slam / exec... spare rage HS

hhmmm i have 1 question about this..  is that much hit rating really needed??

atm he has 11% hitrating. So far i know 8% is enough, or is that different for warriors??  If so then all our warriors have something to do.

I think sheepy read the post maked in 2008. But me not sure.

But if i check our other warriors then whitey is way over the hitcap.

sheepy

ahhh so it looks like he is about right in a fury rotation then, just needs to up hit

Hi, I know I'm not supposed to post here but it might help.

WW should be a priority as of the changes in 3.2 with BT and slam whenever it is available on instant (although always after ww if it is available).  I have modified StrongArm for the fury rotation as there was nothing out there for a fury warrior.  It tells me exactly when WW/BT and slam are ready and I get a huge icon when Slam is available for instant.  It also tells we when I need to rage dump (through cleve or heroic strike depending on the fight).  Execute should be used only when WW and BT are not available and when rage is high (or you lose too much rage and next WW/BT does less damage).

Believe me I've done loads of reading on the theory for a fury warrior. I could do with some expertise (using flasks and food for it at the moment) as well as about 4% more crit and a bit more hit.  That should come together with better gear as I don't want to lose the benefit of my strength gems as they are my main route to good dps.  What I really need to get (and I'm trying) is a high spec/damage main hand weapon.  That will increase my dps a lot due to ww.

It can be difficult to keep an eye on everything during the boss fights especially when running around avoiding things but the more I do it the more confident I feel.  I'm always open to advice and tips to help improve as I'm looking forward to the very high dps that a fury warrior can bring to a raid when fully geared and with the right experience :D.

One big lesson I learned from last nights raid was don't roll on things that are a small improvement as you could lose out on a huge upgrade having already won something.

But please do. Even if it's a small upgrade, unless someone else is going for it as well, grab it. It will count towards your loot yes but if nothing else drops then half the loot of that boss goes to waste while it could have gone to the good of the guild. And in the end item #2 will drop as well, don't worry.

Other than that, really glad you've put in all the effort. Keep it up =)

hit rating yes whitey does need about 4% more, this is due to his spec, i believe the other warriors are DW arms not titangrip fury, being titangrip fury u need a shedload more hit

This thread got me doing some more reading and it looks like I was bang on with my needing more expertise and Crit (as I said about 4%), but my hit rating is WAY more than it needs to be.  They lowered the white cap on 3.2 to 168 hit and that is what I should be aiming for on fury build, I currently have 369 (so way more than I need) however I haven't gem'd or enchanted for it so it's all in my gear. I've removed a couple of strength gems and replaced them with +expertise and it made a big difference to my dps so I'm thinking about changing some more but it's an expensive way to experiment

Once I'm happy with my build and the stats behind it I'll post something up in the class forum.
