Quote* MICROSOFT VISTA USERS: Launching ââ,¬Å"Mass Effectââ,¬Â from Steam requires the  setting ââ,¬Å"Run as Administratorââ,¬Â. If the User Account Control feature of Windows  Vista is enabled, launching ââ,¬Å"Mass Effectââ,¬Â from Steam will result in failure. For  users with User Account Control enabled, launch Steam using the ââ,¬Å"Run as  Administratorââ,¬Â option or launch from the windows shortcut.

Im not on vista. It was at about 50something% at noon and it crashed bout 1:00 pm. If you crash does steam keep the game info or do you lose it?.

I DLed it last month from EA. DL was fine; had some audio probs - most were solved by switiching to "Software" mode from the external configuration (not inside the game). I still have some audio issues, but the game is most def worth the 10er.

Should keep it unless it fails the check when it resumes and then it will start again. You're able to quit etc so you don't have to download it all in one go.

I think so too. If you can't see it, I think it's because the crash led to the stored download not being closed properly. If so, I reckon you have to do it over again, but don't know for sure.

Perhaps try and verify game cache, or whats-it-called?
