Activision killing off original games developers

Rather sad article over on Rock, Paper, Shotgun on the closure of RADICAL studios, who made "ProtoType" and it's soon-to-be-released sequel.

And now, a rather chilling thought, brought to you by BioWare’s Manveer Heir:  â€œWith Activision closing down Radical today they have 12 internally  owned studios. Six of those are working on Call of Duty products.”

PC gaming isn't dead, but the likes of Activision and EA are doing their damnedest to try and kill it off.

Call of Duty will be dead before too long and people will start moving on. I just hope it's sooner rather than later. When you consider how much games like Crysis have changed the world of gaming in the same time frame as CoD it's a bit sad how popular CoD has become by simply not changing.
