Following tonight, rgw will no longer be running this raid.

- we don't really need loot from it
- for above reason it's a waste of time we could be spending in hof and hopefully toes.

Aye, we can start doing it as farm or so with alts?

Switchback

Well, alot of people don't need loot from here anymore.
By stopping it it gives us extra time in HoF.
So by all means go pug it or save your char for the Saturday social run.

Sorry switchy, am not here to challenge RGW leaders decision to stop MV, but here are some thoughts:
1- RGT stopped MV when they were superior to it, how can you tell:
 - killing stone guard on hc.
 - clearing ALL MV and moving to HoF in the same day.
2- i don't see how we don't need loot from there, how can you tell:
 - I know i need two biS items until heroic version of them.
 - dpsers went in war over ONE item last raid we did.
 - one of our tanks is way under-geared to tank all MV's bosses, how about tanking in HOF.

even though am 100% supporting the decision, i wanted to share the above notes to might make you consider not stopping MV until its really a "waste of time".

Why don't you do a 'loot need' check like the thread RGT has?  Work out what is needed by whom, what the following upgrade is and therefore the value.   For me, I have a spreadsheet which tells me which boss & mode my next upgrade comes from for each item slot.   If the gap is big (like it will only be upgraded by a heroic item) then the value is high.  If the next upgrade is a boss or so down the line in HoF then the value is lower.   Work out what people need to evaluate things.

We talked after raid last night a few of us....
I suggested exactly that a loot check post.
We need bits and pieces for a few people. These items are yes an upgrade for example the off hand of the 2nd boss in mog is an upgrade for me yet so is the 1 in hof.
Last night we spent a night in there and got 1 upgrade.
Is it worth 10-13 people's raid night to get 1 upgrade?

So we spend a night on it next week.... Clare and I both get an upgrade is that really gona boost my dps and his healing to the extent that it makes it worth while for the other 8 in raid. Personally I think not.

People are getting frustrated and bored with this raid now and for the sake of a couple upgrades which could then be upgraded the next raid is it worth it?

Regardless I will start a thread.

Although, the items i need are bis until hc version of the same items and gives huge boost in healing for me at least am willing to do the sacrifice and wait until hc version. I also mentioned the point where am seriously bored of it, but we did not "master" the instance to pass it to even harder one? and by mastering it, i dont mean getting bored i mean we do like all reasonable progression raids and clear it fast in one day and start 1-2 bosses in the second, not taking one full day and yet next raid will have to clear it then move to hof

Switchback

At the same time though....

I know we are a raid team and group together, yet if there are 2-3 upgrades for 2-3 raiders we should farm the instance until those 2-3 are fully geared?

So what happens if these items don't drop? So we are going to run mog vaults for 10 weeks so a few people can get 1 or 2 bits of loot? And waste 1 night on it?

I need loot but I don't want to be 1 of the people causing 8 others to run a raid that they don't need.

Just my opinion. Which tbh doesn't matter currently with certain people and the way they conduct them selves currently. That's for another time.

New thread is up so please Clare post up your needs

We have a total of 6-6,5 raid hours a week.

When we have our optimal group setup and everyone is performing as they should, noone has lag etc, we CAN clear MV in 1,5-2 hrs.

That equals about 1/3 of our total raid time. If we ran 3 days, id totally agree that spending 2 hours out of 9 on MV, thatd be worth it for the upgrades. But as we only have 2
imo that takes too big a chunk out of our raid time to be worth it. We have way too little time on progress bosses as it is.

We have the gear to move on to newer and fresher ground. As ive understood it, MV was meant as an entrance raid. The only real challenge weve met in there was the brick
wall known as Elegon. Just look at how fast we took down the first boss in HoF. I believe it took us about 15 tries. Second boss didnt seem too hard either. Garalon will surely be a
challenge. but i welcome it personally. I raid to see new encounters, not steamroll thru things ive already seen.

Were it up to me, we would move on as soon as everyone has the last boss kill, and everyones ilvl is up to speed.

my 2 cents

Edit: About Odds being undergeared as a tank, he swapped char, and hence isnt as geard as the rest of us, at least not his tanking gear. But if u look at the logs, his dps is more
than up to speed, he has 3 ranked fights out of the 5 we did. Odds problem is that he cant dance, get that boogie going u fat panda

Edit 2: This frees u up to do the social raids with ure main, and u will prolly get the piece u need eventually anyways

New content for me please, perhaps run MV in a few weeks time if loot is identified as a problem for group progression

RGT still clear MV every week, we haven't stopped and won't until we have all the upgrades we want/need.

Not to butt in but i think its more a case of you only have 2 raiding days so thats 6 hours.. you have to spend those 6 hours as best as you possibly can and farming loot that 1 / 2 persons might need ( and has a drop chance of ?? ) is not really helping you guys progress through this tier.
I do agree that you should keep running it if you guys can do it without wiping etc for trinkets ( if people still need em ) but if you keep wiping on elegon and stuff its not worth the time.

Also if you go on the progress in HoF and give priority on some pieces of loot to people that still need them ( see for who is the best upgrade ) it should be a beter upgrade then the 489 loot from MV.

I'll take some dancing lessons sharp ;p.

And BTW I'm just back up tank if mario or sharp aren't available, which happens rarely (I think/hope :p)

In my eyes, I think we mastered MSV. Just last boss for me is a struggle, but practice makes perfect, so I've heard :)

I like to see some new raid content, but I'll go with the decicion the Raid Leaders of RGW make ;)
