He did actually say it a couple of weeks in advance. But on TS during a raid night, not on forum. So it just didnt get passed along the ranks that he had to step down from raiding.
So he missed to post in advance, unfortunately.
My two cents on on it.

Aye the forum is important for that sort of info, likewise when he has a one to one chat with an officer, that would also have been a good time to mention it instead of saying something else!

Right, TL i told you that i wouldn't be able to raid on RGW days anymore whilst we were talking about me doing some graphic design work for you guys, i had been saying that i will be stepping down for a few weeks before hand to different people, yes i raided last night, why does that matter it was a sunday, i had nothing to do and a friend needed a dps in a raid.  If you want to think of me as a un mannered guy then you obviously have the wrong idea about me, but if this does not change your mind then fair enough. I dont want to cause any upsets towards me, i am sorry if i have caused this.

Jas.... he has spoken to me and TL stating that he cant make 1 night and will be late on the other....

Ive had alot on at the moment with other stuff....at the end of the day TL knew jack was not going to be raiding. Its not his duty to but he gets involved with everything so much ....

Yes its been abit of a short notice for the guild but me and tl knew he coulnt raid....sorry on my behalf

From my side it was news. If we are loosing someone from the raid team the dmr cogs need to kick into action. I dont want us wasting peoples time calling raids scrambling around at the last hour to fill spots.

I have no problem with you leaving Jack, it's just not the story I was told beforehand.   You said your ability to commit to raid nights was going to be under pressure due to new college commitments and that you were going to probably have to stop raiding.  I said thanks for the advance notice and that RL>WoW (as I did at the start of this thread) and to make sure Switch knew.   What you did not say was that you were intending to leave & then go and raid somewhere else when you could not raid here, that's the bit that hurts as you would have kinda expected someone to say goodbye properly rather than leave silently.

If you'd said that you were going to step down and leave the guild then it allows us to clean up the admin properly by removing forum access at that time, rather than having to find out by accident and then do the guild admin after the fact.
