What do people think about this one? The match was amazing to watch, I'd recommend watching the full game even in light of this. I personally feel kinda sorry for Fnatic ... they clearly didn't think they were cheating, because it's not like nobody would notice it at Dreamhack! The boost wasn't even against the rules, according to an interview with the big cheese behind Dreamhack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wor34WKxkpM

In terms of bad sportsmanship, LDLC did use a very similar boost by getting on top of the truck, they just didn't go as far as to get from that boost to another (as Fnatic did). That's why, in the interview above, the big cheese decided to replay the whole match (before Fnatic withdrew).

I personally think Fnatic withdrew because of the bad publicity, not because they'd cheated. They needed to get out of it somehow without being rejected completely by fans.

Actually, we've been playing ED and such and sometimes if you knew tactics like this that would work would be allowed. The thing is that maps and sometimes games are not set up proper that they could use glitches like this. As a former admin in some games in dMw I've been checking out glitches myself also to see how they work and if they would have been considered an ban-able offense. They found something out that worked and didn't get noticed by mapmakers/or gamers in public and such and got reported for it in the end.

Bumping up people to higher grounds has been happening allot in many CounterStrike games and was there for ages (as an example bumping up people through the map roof). Just to find a new spot which players have found just recently is in my eyes a mistake of the mapmakers and should have been edited out by public players who would try anything to find glitches.
This shouldn't have been a map for a gaming competition if there are glitches like these.

Still interesting and now you just have to wait for a mapupdate.

BTW, even I have been accused of using hacks/glitching but it ended up in being map bugs within the CS-games.

It's not a 'glitch', it's a badly designed map.
I follow CS:GO updates, and this map is tweaked and revised in almost every one.
That alone says a lot to me.

I don't condemn them for taking advantage of a map flaw. It's not like they were clipping through walls etc.
Just somewhere accessible that the map-maker didn't intend to be.

Just removing the ability to jump in CS, would solve so many problems and make the game so much better. The reasons I quit playing it 14 years ago are still valid today.

Maybe if valve introduced an aim penalty depending on % of player model on/over (or nearly on for slopes...) the "ground"...
