Here's a bigger one! Notice the lights downward for gear down? Can't wait to see that land in front of my SRV!

Also, when weapons deploy the "mood" lights go from blue to red...

I jumped over to Jameson Memorial yesterday and tried out a few ships. I like the look of the Cutter. The Corvette feels like an Anaconda. I "pledged" a tenner for the gold skin :D.

I think once this new patch comes out my game time will increase between now and Horizons. I notice dMw Alliance are down to 25% influence in Guest City now. We still own the place but are certainly losing some kudos.

Try this one for scariness about using shield cell banks, fast forward to 9 mins.

Frontier have decided to rebalance things by preventing stacking and spamming of Shield Cell Banks. Just one can cause heat damage if not used in combination with a heat-sink. Making them more like "last resort" option rather than "fire one between volleys".

In the video Kornelius has three SCBs stacked, so hits 340% heat - and the module damage to boot - when firing them all at once. That's what the rebalancing was intended to do. If you get attacked now, SCBs are no longer a "health potion".

Interesting are the Bi-Weave shields (only available in C class) which use less power, are 10% weaker than standard shields, but charge 1/3 faster.

They have also changed hull reinforcement to make hull stronger, although initial tests show it isn't reinforcing modules, so someone can pop your power-plant cherry without taking your hull down (or buying you a drink). :( This will hopefully change.

The new chained missions, rescue missions and so on, are very cool. You may come across an NPC rescue ship at salvage sites, get distress calls from NPCs needing fuel (so you can play fuel rat) or even get a mission from a passing ship. All very good.

The new ships are the tip of the iceberg.

Like the sound of more interesting missions and chains.

Must remember to look where my joystick has got to and look at what I set up on Queeg.
