Xmas event

Some posts have turned up on the forum last few days about a xmas comps and I thought that perhaps we could have some kind of event as well.

One idea I have is the classic "Lawn darts" where we just need a high location (scouting that should not take that long) but apart from that I don't have any real ideas, perhaps some kind of race (underwater perhaps?) but perhaps you got some more? would perhaps prefer to use the main chars from the guild cause it makes it easier to sort invites out but that's just my :2cents:

lawn darts is always worthy ...maybe we could become goldshire whores (yes its a thing) and see how many tricks we get  whitey could be policing looking for curb crawlers... :flasher:

Seriously we have some stuff in the bank ready as prizes. Lets set a date for sunday if no raid we will bat out where what and when

May I chim in you guys used to do a treasure hunt for the Xmas run. I know it's a lot of work but always seemed to go down amazingly well.

One location that we perhaps can use for lawn dart is the top of the ironforge gates. it's high but you can still see the bottom and should be able to see markers hopefully (not tested it myself yet)

Did some more checking last night and we found a new thing to do and that is going up to the top of temple of storms in Storm Peaks and then use a priests levitate (jas parked his priest up there) to aim for a platform further down as you can see in this picture (the small white dot is the skull marker): http://imgur.com/GVdcVnz

We also don't think people got that many chars on the shadowsong server yet so we can use that for our lvl 1 tauren race as well as the lawn dart location and I can keep a eye on things since I got my lvl 40 something warlock on aszune so it should work.

One thing we aint sure of is at what date we do this on, jas was on call 21-28 if I recall correct (true jas?) and on the 28th we also got the CS:go tourney that we don't want to disrupt (and I also remembered that I'm going out to watch some ice hockey that day so I'm not there) but we was considering perhaps the 29, depends a bit whenever jas goes away on his holiday.

Another thing me and jas talked about is to try and sort of make a story of it, something to do with santas raindeers losing the ability to fly and we have to learn it in order to help santa out. It requires some thought

Hahaha love it! How does having the event on the 29th work for you?

Perhaps something like this to the public forum? Time etc just a idea.

In the wake of Garrosh Hellscream's tampering with time and the uprising of the Iron Horde we had to grow even more powerful then we thought was possible but we succeeded in stopping the Legion invading, for now. Though we have now received reports from sources we trust that the legion plans another invasion of Azeroth and we need to start preparing for it. In order for us to be able to combat the mighty Legion we need to make sure that everyone is able to survive in even the toughest of environments so the officers of Dead Men Raiding invite everyone to join us in a test on the 29th of December at 20:30 server time for a event to see if you got what it takes to take on the legion even with overwhelming odds against you.
