Morning all,

I might be looking into getting a new keyboard and mouse and looking into silent ones due to the misses her misophonia.
Mouse and keyboard with cord as I find this easier (I forget to charge those buggers), any recommendations?
My mouse now is a Logitech MX518 as I find this fits my hand really good.

Greetings DuVeL.

What size keyboard you after? switches or not? I'll throw https://www.rocketjumpninja.com/ in as a good place to start for mouse recommendations.

I now have a decent normal size keyboard, the Logitec Y-BN52, looking probably in something similar of size.

I didn"t knew there that many switches: https://www.pcgamer.com/best-mechanical-switches-for-gaming/ but would like a recommandation on it.

I went for Cherry red switches on mine, stay away from the clicky type tho if you're after a quiet keyboard for sure, seems the choice in available switch types has grown quite a bit since I bought mine that's for sure.

Sorry I am not too much use here... I like my keys to click and clack!

That said, I do know there are some mechanical keyboards designed with quieter switches in mind -

For example, but I can't comment on if this sort of keyboard is any good or not!

heh - my clicky keyboard was banned at home - got a microsoft sculpt as I work from the same desk and (I find that) it's good and it's quiet. It isn't gaming orientated, isn't mechanical and it is wireless (I can't remember the last time I changed the batteries)

For the mouse I picked a "Corsair Dark Core RGB PRO" as it can be wired or wireless, has finger & thumb rests and is recommended for larger hands (I used to use an mx510, which I think is similar to the 518) although I would like it if it were wider/bigger ... I've yet to find a mouse that actually sits in my hand nicely though so ymmv! :)
