It was literally seconds. I posted on another thread about the same thing. Dont know what the problem is but another forum revealed the answer. Added a launch option in the advanced popup box for launching CS. I'll post it here when i get home (very pissed as tuesday is my pub night)

Added

+clientport 27006

to the advanced options for launching CS to avoid getting kicked.
