PCkeeps resetting itself during bootup

I was unzipping the BF2 files and the PC reset itself, now it just keeps rebooting befor i get a chance to login. (i dont get to see the login box)

any ideas?

am going to try and repair it.

nope exact same thing happens, last driver it trs to loads if d347bus, then it just stops does nothing for a while and resets.

Doesnt appear to be any SMART errors.

Ive gone into Repare and tried to do a dir on C: and get the following

 "an occured during directory enumeration" never got that befor, but it might be something todo with DOS and NTFS or something.

I have a spare hdd so i might stick that in and see if I can recover my data. This is a right pain in the ass havent got time to fk around installing XP so it might have to wait,

Have you tried:"chkdsk  /p" followed by  "fixboot"

well, i seem to have got it to boot up now.

im going to back everything up and probably reformat asap.

I did a bootfix and fixmbr.  which had no effect.

I then did a chkdsk (would have done it first had i noticed the commands)

after that I could do a dir on the c: and it would display everything. So i rebotted and it worked.

wish i knew what went wrong though. :S

jamoe were did u get the BF2 file from ..i dont need the same hassel happening here ive just got rid of a major problem :unsure:

thats where my problem was ...I just cant open the .exe for BF2 ....looks like it unzipped ...but just wont open or execute........locked my pc up as well .....

Yep. This is the freely available, open to anyone, official demo of BF2 - not a wizard in sight
